Where will I live?
You will live in resort, sharing canvas accommodation with up to 2 other couriers. You will live and work with a team of people through the season and a real sense of community develops as you live and work together. Accommodation and cooking facilities are free, but you will need to provide your own food.
Who will I work with?
Funstation teams consist of similar aged and like-minded young people.
What hours will I work?
40-hours per week. This consists of 5 hours of children's service plus preparation, visiting and customer parties, you will have one full day off per week. Occasionally you may be required to undertake babysitting duties, you are paid additionally for this.
What will I wear?
A Fun Station uniform and ID Badge will be provided which must be worn when on duty.
What about staff training?
Your contract will start with a 3-day training programme that covers all the key aspects of your role. The training aims to supplement the skills and experience that you already have.
How much will I be paid?
£131.70 per week for all vacancies, you are paid fortnightly directly into your bank account.
What is the administration deposit?
We require you to send a cheque to us for £50 along with your acceptance of a job offer. Your deposit cheque is destroyed once you complete your contract. Only if you break the terms and conditions of your contract is the cheque cashed.
How do I get there?
All travel arrangements are from a UK meeting point. You will be notified of your precise meeting point after your contract has been confirmed. Holidaybreak Plc will organise your return to the UK.
Who am I contracted to work for?
You will receive your contract of employment directly from Holidaybreak plc.
What if I am interested in working in Europe but can't work a full season?
Please apply as there are a few vacancies for part-season. There is space on the application form to state your earliest available date and latest available date.
What if I am available for longer than the full season?
You can start the season earlier as a Montage Assistant (helping to set up the site) and stay later to help with De-Montage. Please state your interest in this during your interview.
Will I be asked to undertake any other tasks?
Yes, as part of promoting the children’s service you will be required to visit families on their first or second day in resort and you may also be involved in organising customer parties.
I can only speak English. How will I communicate with the children?
There will be other children’s couriers who speak other European languages and effective communication will be covered in the staff training programme.
If I live outside the UK, can I apply for a position?
Non-UK citizens will need a permanent address within the UK, UK bank account and a valid UK work permit.
